Message From Aerie Secretary

ronlorenzFirst, dues in the amount of $48.00 are now past due for the Eagle Year 2009-2010. Dues are valid from June 1 through May 31. Please remit by July 25th to the secretary by mail or at the hall. Second, We need bodies in order to accomplish some of our outreach projects – meaning to promote the Eagles to the public by making the public aware of the charitable and community efforts we undertake. We could use a few members who can spare a few hours a month getting in touch with city officials, business leaders and other social groups – just to say “we are here trying to help the community.” If you can spare a couple of hours a month – let an officer know.

Message from Madam President Annette Siller:

annettesillerMy Sisters;

We are on the difficult road to recovery and everyone’s help will be needed in this coming year. The majority of our members have stopped coming to meetings and participating in Auxiliary Activities. When I look at the meeting attendance and participation as it is today from what it was ten years ago when I was president I could easily become disheartened by what I see. Instead, I will stay optimistic that the members want this auxiliary to survive during these difficult times. You can send your suggestions to me at the hall and I will have each one read at the auxiliary meetings. Please feel free to send me any personal notes.

I was looking forward to having our Auxiliary Grandmother be with me this year and lending her years of experience and her shoulders when needed during this year. I miss you Ann ………. .

Fraternally,
Annette Siller
Madam President

Message from Worthy President Cynthia Garibaldi:

cynthiagirabaldiDear Brothers and Sisters,

I would like to thank everyone who attended the 2009-2010 Joint Installation of Officers and the Aerie 104th Anniversary gathering on May 30th. It looked like everyone enjoyed themselves and the food catered by Nina Walsh Catering. In addition I would like to congratulate our Jr. Past President, Ken Erdahl for his term as Worthy President and congratulations to all new officers. I am looking forward to this challenge I have placed upon myself and I hope to perform the best I can for all members. I have been working on putting together committees so that we can put them down on the calendar as quickly as possible so everyone is aware of upcoming charity functions. Also this year I really would like to see “new” volunteers for functions that we have going on at the club and to see more members at Aerie meetings. If you do not attend then your voice cannot be heard. In closing, let us remember why we joined the Alameda Eagles and again our motto is People Helping People.

Fraternally,

Cynthia Garibaldi

Worthy President
