It is with great sadness that I must report that PSP/PWRP Billie Trujillo passed away on Friday  July 1o, 2009. Below is a copy of the Funeral Notice.

Billie Trujillo 1921 – 2009 Resident of Alameda Billie Trujillo passed peacefully in Alameda with his family on July 10, 2009. He was born in Tioga, Colorado on October 27, 1921 and is survived by his wife Wanda Trujillo, his sons William and Emmett Trujillo, His Granddaughter, Adriana Riveria, His Great Granddaughters, Elisia, Delilah and Ashley, His Great Grandsons David and Anthony, and his Great Great Grandson Adrian born on the morning of his passing. He was also survived by one brother Paul Trujillo residing in Oregon and one sister Viola who resides in Nebraska. Billie has long been a pillar of the communityand his loyalty for family extended far beyond just his primary family. Billie was part of the community family to which he belonged. He was a US Army WWII Veteran and a Veteran of Foreign Wars. He was a Past President of the Alameda Eagles and Past President of the California Eagles, Past Exalted Ruler of Alameda Lodge No. 1015 B.P.O. Elks. He was an Alameda Housing Commissioner, Member of the Historic Alameda High School Foundation, Alameda Navy League and a member of Sigma. Billie was an active member of the Teamsters union for over 30 years and he was also active in the early organization of the Lettuce Pickers Union with Cesar Chavez. Billie’s service to his community and our nation ran over 50 years. He was a co-founder and former Grand Marshal of the Alameda Fourth of July Parade and Past Man of the Year in Alameda, Billie was known as a humble man always willing to say yes whenever he was called upon. Billie your kind nature and humble manner will be missed by countless hundreds of lives which you have touched with your warmth and generosity.
